DIAMOND IN THE RIFF

Terry Silverlight has released a very good album that is a mixture of straight-ahead jazz, smooth jazz and jazz-rock. The album is filled with finely crafted, accessible melodies. And like his last release, the playing on the album by all members is superb.

Terry Silverlight is a terrific drummer who is equally adept at writing good tunes, playing keys and even singing. Barry Miles shows superb ability on piano and keyboards. And legendary bassist Will Lee shows why he has been one of the most in demand bass players since the 70ⳮ

There is plenty on this album for everyone to enjoy奶eryone on radio, too. Favorites on the album are "Do It," "Tom Boy," and "Plaza Mexico." More accurately I thought "Do It" was smokin'. But, none of that should come of as a surprise.
