Since 1996, Terry Silverlight has toured Japan as drummer for the Manhattan Jazz Orchestra (MJO)
To date (2020), there have been a dozen tours.

MJO is a 16-piece jazz orchestra of drums, acoustic bass, 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, 2 French horns, tuba, 4 saxes.
It is lead and conducted by David Matthews, for which he composes all arrangements.

A studio recording of material performed on each tour is released as an album prior.
Terry Silverlight is the drummer on all of these 12-plus recordings.

Terry Silverlight is drummer on many of David Matthews's small group recordings and videos.

David Matthews has solicited Terry Silverlight's talent as songwriter for several recording projects he has produced.
